work on a large application for one of the agencies that is part of the USA federal government's Department of Homeland Security. Application uses EJB 3.0, Hibernate for persistence, Struts 2 as the MVC and similar technologies. Work involves a new application that uses parts of the very large existing codebase to provide needed functionality for agency personnel
-
claims management system for a company that produces administrative and management software for healthcare and life insurance company. Significant use of Spring application contexts, Spring MVC (model-view-controller), Spring JDBC and Hibernate helper classes, custom-created JSP elements/extension of the JSP tag interfaces and classes in Java, JavaScript code.
-
web-based, standard-cost accounting application to replace a semi-automated system based on spreadsheets. Tools used for development are Oracle's JDeveloper as the integrated development environment and Application Design Framework (ADF) Fusion technology as the framework
-
documentation, testing and refactoring of Java code used for the search/matching functionality of a name-matching application. Technology used included standard Java SE and Java EE libraries, the Lucene F\OSS search API and IBM's Global Name Recognition software. These activities aimed at improving the quality of matches to queries presented to the application. Used Maven for builds, testing and documentation, IntelliJ IDEA for the IDE
-
Web services application to bridge an existing Perl/CGI e-commerce application with a commercial product called ATG and to bridge interaction between those applications to an existing ERP system and its SAP replacement. Eclipse IDE used. SAP's JCO API used for Java-to-ADAP interaction.
-
web application for determining the payment for test raters that fits within a much larger application used by Educational Testing Service to manage testing and test rating activities. Technology used included: JBoss Developer Studio 3.0.1, JBoss AS 6.0 application server, Seam, Java Server Faces, RichFaces, Subversion, Maven, Hibernate/JPA, Spring DI. Worked within a loose agile development environment.
